Being President of Ghana comes with many benefits and one of such is enjoying the privilege of flying in the presidential jet.

The plane used by Ghana’s President is the Falcon 900 EX EASY Presidential jet.

Unlike the ordinary citizen, President Akufo-Addo’s travels are made in this special jet, specifically meant for the Head of State and other senior government officials.

As a result, a lot of money goes into getting the president the best jet possible, in order to ensure his safety at all times.

But have you ever wondered how much Ghana’s presidential jet costs?

According to a report Ghana’s presidential jet cost $37 million.

The plane, which has a 16-seater capacity, was acquired in 2010 and has since served all elected presidents.

The three-engine supersonic jet enjoys an extended range of 9000 kilometers which simply means that it can stay airborne for up to 13 hours.

The couple have also often performed together on stage, with last year’s Ghana Meets Naija concert a case in point.

Ghanaians weep as mother and son who died in accident are buried together

Last Thursday, January 25, an accident occurred at Pampaso near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.

The accident, reported by YEN.com.gh, involved an Accra-Kumasi VIP bus which veered off the road.

10 people lost their lives while several others suffered various degrees of injuries.

Among the dead were a two-year-old boy, Jadon Agyir Kobina Afful and his 33-year-old mother, Mrs Priscilla Afful.

Posters for their funeral which have appeared online seem to have stirred some emotions.

Some social media users have commented on the poster expressing sadness over their untimely deaths.

Comedian Funny Face shared the photo on his Facebook page and it generated loads of reactions.

This lady seems to know them very well.

This lady attributed the accident to too much sin around.

Vice President Dr Bawumia, Samira spotted in London on their way to Ghana

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been spotted in new photos as he embarked on his journey back home.

Dr Bawumia is returning to Ghana today after almost two weeks in London where he has been on medical leave.

According to a statement signed by Director of Comunications at the Presidency, Eugene Mr Arhin, the vice president will be met at the airport by President Nana Akufo-Addo and his wife, Rebecca.

The Vice President was flown out on Friday, January 19 upon the advice of his doctors after he fell ill after reporting to work.

There has been a lot of controversy since Dr Bawumia left.

Until last Saturday when photos and videos of him and his wife, Samira surfaced online, rumours had been rife that he suffered a stroke.

The Minority in Parliament had been on the neck of government to disclose the full details of the health condition of the Vice President.

In a Facebook post, Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Bryan Acheampong has shared pictures of himelf meeting Dr Bawumia and Samira as they readied for their journey back.

And acording to him, the Vice President was in good health.

"Just saw the Vice President off. Ghana here he comes! Good Health, Great Strength, Good Job!!", the Abetifi MP captioned the photos.

Ahuofe Patri wishes Kuami Eugene a happy birthday

Ghanaian actress and model, Priscilla Opoku Agyeman, popularly known has Ahuofe Patri, has celebrated the young up-and-coming Ghanaian artiste, Kuami Eugene, on occasion of his birthday on social media.

In a recent post on her Instagram page, Ahuofe Patri wished Kuami Eugene - born Eugene Marfo - a happy birthday on occasion of the young music sensation's 20th birthday.

Ahuofe posted a photo which appears to have been taken on set during the shooting of Kuami Eugene's new music video titled "Confusion", and she also urged fans and followers to check out the young star's new video, which she stars in.

Kuami Eugene is currently one of the most listened-to Ghanaian musicians in the country at the moment, and recently released his latest song which - other than Ahuofe Patri - also stars the likes of Akuma Mama Zimbi, and Ghanaian comedian Kalybos.

Female teacher found dead in room of boyfriend

The police have confirmed the death of a female teacher at Kumasi Girls SHS in Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central District of the Ashanti Region.

According to the police the deceased, Vida Frema’s lifeless body was found in the room of her police boyfriend, Sergeant Bright Opoku on Monday, January 29, 2018.

Police investigations have revealed Sergeant Opoku left the girlfriend in the room for work on the morning of the incident.

Only to return in the evening to find her dead in the bedroom. The police have also discovered a cut on her lower arm and a blood-stained knife in the room.

The body has been deposited at the Steward Hospital for autopsy to be conducted.

The Ghana Police Service in 2015 handled a total of 525 murder cases across the country.

The figure is lower than the number recorded in 2014 and 2013 – 543 and 551, respectively.

Christabel Ekeh seems to disagree with YOLO actress on her advice that ladies should stop asking men for mobile money

- Fella Makafui had urged ladies should learn to work hard and be independent

YEN.com.gh reported earlier that Fella Makafui is calling on all ladies to be hardworking and independent.

According to the YOLO actress, not all men subscribe to the current trend of “send me some mobile money”, therefore ladies like herself should endeavour to work hard for themselves.

This, she added, would also earn the ladies some respect.

But a post by Christabel Ekeh which has been sighted by YEN shows a possible attack by Ekeh on Fella Makafui’s personality.

Christabel Ekeh, who was recently hit by a nude photo scandal seems to hold a different view from that of Makafui.

She took to her Instagram page to question Fella Makafui’s right to give that advice.

Christabel Ekeh wrote: “…..Mobile money is always bae….ofui.”

Though she did not mention Fella Makafui in this post, many people have read all sorts of meaning into with.

Others have concluded that Christabel’s post is directed at Fella.

But Fella Makafui has not made any comment on this yet.

Christabel Ekeh is a talented actress who has starred in many movies alongside Jackie Appiah, Prince Dave Osei, Majid Michel, John Dumelo, just to mention a few.

Last year, she was rocked by a scandal involving the circulation of her nude photos in the media.

While many people believed the actress had a phycological problem for having posted her nudity to social media, she Ekeh defended herself, saying she is very normal.

She recently announced that she is back for good and ready to scale higher in the ailing movie industry.
