Popular Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, on Sunday, January 21, 2018 posted a picture of the hand of a lady with an engagement ring on her finger on Instagram with the caption "She said yes!".

The post, suggesting the actor had engaged someone, went viral as bloggers and news sites feasted on it.

To the disappointment of many, it turned out to be false alarm or 'sete' as we say in the local parlance.
Martekor Quaye
There had been an engagement on a plane which was carrying Ghanaian celebrities to Liberia for the inauguration of George Weah as President later on Monday, but it was between actor Fred Nuamah and his girlfriend, one Martekor Quaye.
Being relatively unknown, there have been questions as to who this lady is.
YEN.com.gh checks suggest that she is a half Australian and half Ghanaian who works in Accra as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Best Western Hotels and Resorts.
She is an alumni of the RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
Her fiancé, Fred Nuamah is the CEO of Ghana movie awards.
