Vice President Dr Bawumia finally returned to Ghana on Thursday, February 1, from London where he went on a medical leave.
Dr Bawumia got down from the British Airways Flight minutes around 8:00pm on February 1.

Accompanying him was his wife, Samira who had been in London with him.

As reported earlier by YEN.com.gh, he was met on arrival at the airport by President Nana Akufo-Addo and the first lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo

Upon arrival, Dr Bawumia looked very strong.

Apart from the President, other leading members of government were present at the Kotoka International Airport to welcome him.

Many of the pleasantries turned into hugs and hearty laughter.

Dr Bawumia was flown to London on January 19 on a medical leave following advice from his doctors after he fell sick at work.

Dr Bawumia's 12-day stay in London had been a subject of debate as the NDC had been asking government for full details on his health status as rumours went round that he had suffered a stroke.

But the Vice President has returned looking every bit fine to the delight of Ghanaians as the rousing welcome he got on arrival suggests.

Though Dr Bawumia's arrival officially not open to the general public, some people, like this man in reflector vest above, still forced his way through to welcome him.

From the Kotoka International Airport Dr Bawumia proceeded to the Flagstaff House where he met other members of government.

And it all ended in what looked a cabinet meeting.
